  • 'A Brush through the Seasons' is a glimpse of country sports and the fascinating array of the people and animals involved with those traditions of British country life.

I have been painting since I can remember - scribbling away whenever I could find the opportunity. The subject matter is close to my heart - country characters and animals combining my passion for the countryside and art. It seems a natural progression to paint my experiences, almost like writing, except that for me it is visual.

The days spent gathering my material are all fixed solidly in my mind, the faces of the people, the humour and camaraderie, the close affinity of the dogs and their masters, the ever changing seasons - rain, frost, sun and mist... and importantly, the knowledge I gain from just listening to these wonderful country folk. At the end of the day I can hardly wait to get back to the studio and record all those feelings.

"I'm fortunate to have a profession that is so fulfilling - one that I can pursue wherever I am..."
