  • Art is a gift, a wonderful way of discovering an enviroment and its people. The collection of paintings and drawings in 'A Brush with Australia' is the result of my adventures with the families of rural and outback properties, cattle mustering, shearing and just understanding that way of life.

Along the way I have cemented so many good friendships, taking time to be part of their lives, watching them work, catching the expressions in the faces, the connection with their animals and absorbing the sights, smells and sounds of the surroundings.

Listening and learning is the only way I can be totally involved and recreate the feelings in my work - which is, in a way, a visual record of country Australia.
